"We met at the Wynkoop on a lovely Thursday evening and the rest was wibbly, wobbly, timey, wimey... stuff."
She grew up in Iron River, Michigan where she spent her first 18 years. After attending the University of Michigan, she was offered a job in Denver, Colorado. Jaclyn currently works for MobileDay as a mobile developer.
While in college, a friend of hers introduced her to Reddit, as he thought she would enjoy the sense of humour found there. He was right. She figured it would be a great way to meet new people in a new city. She had been going to the Denver Reddit meetups for a few weeks before she met Rex. She was willing to give him a chance and met him for sushi. Much of their time spent together in the early stages of dating was via computer gaming, with Borderlands 2 as their focus. She was glad to have met someone with whom she could have an intelligent conversation, while also being able to spend time shooting aliens together.
She spends her free time playing tennis or racquet-ball and reading TechCrunch. With her future, Jaclyn wants to use technology to make people's lives easier. She is excited about spending her future with Rex as they see how the world evolves.
He grew up in and around Elizabeth, Colorado and never left the Denver Metro area. He attended ITT Tech to obtain his education in computer networking systems. Currently, he works as a systems administrator for Pemco Limited.
Always an active reader of the news, Rex was naturally led to the discussions found on Reddit. Usually he is not much of a social person, but decided that the type of people on the internet might not be so bad. He decided to go to one of the Denver Reddit meetups at Wynkoop, where he first met Jaclyn. He continued to go hoping to see her week after week, and finally got the courage to ask her to accompany him for sushi. Just a few short days later, he was again able to convince her that it would be a good idea to go to an air show in Grand Junction, Colorado. This early, long road trip was a good sign that he could spend time with Jaclyn.
He enjoys going biking, camping, and staying up to date on the news. One day, he wants to have a net-zero home complete with a Tesla in the garage. Rex also looks forward to travelling the world with Jaclyn.
